Messie

Will be promoted next month. Will be promoted next month… When are they supposed to promote me, ha? It is almoust July and I haven`t seen the promotional documents being prepared yet!

Yesterday I set a mock IELTS for Saturday and even paid for this. So there is no backway. I expect to get 5 for each section. But will see what I`m currently capable of.

Amm.. another day at work.

Today I had a big conversation with my bosses. They are worried about my further deal with the company as a longterm employee. So I was asked different questions in different ways about what my plans were and whether I was planning to work further for MTS or I`d rather move to Australia, like, tomorrow or next week.

I noticed that the workers in our department are almost forced to continue their carreer by the higher-ups. May be it could be understandable as it is hard to find and teach new workers, so it is needed at least 3 months to get a full-fledged worker. But sometimes it seems to me that you could come to work naked with your underpants on your head and would be still asked to stay and work. Like there are no more educated people around wondering for job.

Although I`m not about leaving my job right now. And I will not leave without having found another job first. Anyway it was funny to even concider they would panicing 3 or more years beforehand. And to be frankly I was pleased with the fact that actually I am a valuable worker. Or..may be I think too much of myself… No, definetely I`m good.

And..By the way,  I will be promoted next month =)

PS Even my English teacher strarted to say `For example, in your Australia..`. I`m pleased, really these words are nice to hear ^^  but it`s too soon.

Moscow. Traffic there I live

The traffic in Moscow is always bad, even during the weekends because everybody tends to go to the same places at the same time. Our roads are not made for heavy traffic so we end up with a bottleneck. Especially in summer when it is time for road works which makes the situation even worse.

I believe that the main reason for that is joblessness in the surrounding towns and villages. People from there are forced to find work in Moscow because of meagre salaries in their own towns. We have so few developed cities in Russia. So of course people are attracted by big cities with more opportunities. I see Moscow exploding one day, as it cannot tolerate such huge influxes of people.

Speaking about traffic I mean not only traffic on roads but in metro too. People who use this transport each day get to their work angry and already tired. Without dispute it is unbearable to be sandwiched between two strangers who often don`t smell good. And it is in human nature that we need our own space (usually it is about 1 metre or so), but at least not to be touched is already a fortune in metro.

My office moved further away in the opposite direction, so I need 90 minutes to get there by metro. So in reality I spend 2 days to travel to work each week. May be it wouldn`t be a big problem for me if the metro wasn`t so overcrowded.

I reckon our government have to encourage people to develop businesses in the suburbs. It will definitely solve a big part of the traffic problem in Moscow. Also I suggest people who live in 10-30 minutes from work use bicycles. It is healthier, faster and spares the environment by the way.And it is a good idea to arrange a Free From Cars Day every year, citizens are not always anthusiastic about this and drive their cars anyway, but I hope that more and more people will be involved in this event each year.
